I didn't understand. "It's not rocket science!" he said. Possibly true, but it set me thinking. Compared with many advanced technologies rocket science is actually incredibly basic and crude. Vast quantities of fuel pumping out brute energy to propel a massive phallic tube through the earth's atmosphere. Even Watt's 1765 steam engine, or Newcomen's earlier one of 1712, seems more sophisticated. So no, it's not rocket science. It's a bit more complicated.
